Kennard declares for NBA draft

Two seasons of college basketball is apparently enough for Luke Kennard. The former Franklin star and Ohio Mr. Basketball has declared for the NBA draft and he will hire an agent, which means Kennard will not be able to go back and play at Duke next season.

Kennard had a breakout year this past season averaging 19.5 points a game and 5 rebounds while playing more minutes than any Division I player.

Luke is the third Duke player to announce for the draft as freshmen Harry Giles and Jayson Tatum declared their intentions since in the last week. Still no word on whether Duke’s controversial junior guard Grayson Allen will return for his senior season.
