Ifeadi Odenigbo, Mike Weber among Big Ten’s weekly award winners

Ohio State running back Mike Weber and Centerville High School graduate Ifeadi Odenigbo were among players honored with Big Ten awards Monday.

Odenigbo is the co-defensive player of the week after notching four sacks for Northwestern in the Wildcats’ 38-31 win over Iowa.

He became the first Big Ten player with a four-sack game since Ohio State’s John Simon in 2012.

Weber is the conference freshman of the week after running for a career-high 144 yards in the Buckeyes’ 58-0 win over Rutgers.

The Detroit Cass Tech product has three 100-yard games on the season.
