CJ girls shutout Vandalia in season opener

Abby Stayer and Rachel Stayer each scored a goal to help Chaminade Julienne beat Vandalia 3-0 in a girls soccer season opener on Saturday.

Keepers Anna Money and Halle Mason combined on the shutout.

Troy 4, Lima Shawnee 0: Troy keeper Arianna Garcia notched four saves in the shutout and Kina Sekito tallied 3 assists for Troy.

Milton-Union 5, Dayton Christian 0: Danielle McFarland scored twice and had an assist for Milton-Union.

Tippecanoe 2, Wayne 1: Chelsea Clawson and McKenzie Logan both scored as Tippecanoe rallied for the win.

Boys Soccer

Vandalia 3, Chaminade Julienne 2: Michael Drees scored all three goals for Vandalia, including the game-winner with 10 minutes to play.

Tippecanoe 4, Wayne 2: Kevin Ryan had two goals and Darius Appora had a goal and an assist for Tippecanoe.

Lebanon 2, Troy 2: Michael Melin and Emmett Kresslein each scored for Lebanon in a draw against Troy to start the season.

Volleyball

Coldwater went 3-0, edging Liberty Benton in the championship match to win the Coldwater Spikeoff Invitational.
