Former Bengals coach interviews with Cowboys

Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive line coach Paul Alexander is interviewing for the same position with the Dallas Cowboys, according to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Alexander spent 24 seasons with the Bengals, including 23 in a row as offensive line coach, before head coach Marvin Lewis announced last week he would not be returning.

Named assistant head coach in addition to offensive line coach in 2003 when Lewis arrived, Alexander worked under four Bengals head coaches. He will turn 58 next month.

He began his NFL coaching career as tight ends coach in 1994 under Dave Shula.

The Bengals have yet to hire Alexander’s replacement.

Frank Pollack coached the Cowboys offensive line from 2014-17.
