Edgewood’s Athletic Hall of Fame will add five members in February

Edgewood High School has announced the 2019 inductees to its Athletic Hall of Fame.

The incoming class includes Warren Elam, Class of 1961 (football, basketball, track & field, cross country); Becky Fordyce (member of Edgewood Athletic Boosters); Nick Ricke, Class of 1979 (football, basketball, track & field); Henderson “Gordy” Gordon, Class of 1986 (wrestling); and Nate Thomas, Class of 2008 (football, basketball).

The Edgewood Hall honors student-athletes from Edgewood, Seven Mile, Trenton and Wayne.

The induction ceremony will be held in the Edgewood High School cafeteria Friday, Feb. 1, and will begin with dinner at 6 p.m., and the ceremony will follow at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Tickets are $25. Reservations can be made by contacting athletic director Greg Brown at 513-867-6330 or greg.brown@edgewoodschools.net. Tickets will be available until Jan. 25 and can be paid for at the door.

The inductees will also be recognized during pregame festivities Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Edgewood boys basketball game against Franklin.
