Bengals inactive list indicates bigger role for Eifert

For the second consecutive week the Cincinnati Bengals inactive list features seven healthy players, but there is one notable change for today’s game in London against the Washington Redskins.

Tight end C.J. Uzomah is inactive, which means the Bengals are confident Tyler Eifert can handled a more expanded role than he had last week in his season debut when he played just 15 snaps with one catch for 9 yards.

The other six inactives are quarterback Jeff Driskel, wide receiver Cody Core, cornerbacks Chykie Brown and Kei’Varae Russell, offensive lineman Christian Westerman and defensive tackle DeShawn Williams.

Cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris is active this week after sitting out last week.

For the Redskins, tight end Jordan Reed and Pro Bowl cornerback Josh Norman are active. Both were listed as questionable after suffering concussions last week against Detroit.

The Washington inactives are running back Matt Jones, quarterback Nate Sudfeld, wide receiver Rashad Ross, cornerback Dashaun Phillips, offensive lineman Vinston Painter, guard Arie Kouandjio and defensive end Matt Ioannidis.
