Local restaurant website compromised
The website of local eatery The Canal House Bar & Grille in Middletown, appeared to have been hacked Saturday.
Instead of the usual information about the bar and restaurant, the homepage was replaced with a message that read “Hacked by Team System Dz” and expressing support for the Islamic State.
When reached by phone Saturday afternoon, a family member of the owners said they were unaware that anything was wrong until contacted by a reporter.
Earlier this year, several Cincinnati and Dayton business websites were compromised by alleged ISIS supporters. Those affected included Dayton City Paper, downtown Cincinnati development group 3CDC, Cincinnati brewery Moerlein Lager House, and Montgomery Inn. In fact, the same group Team System Dz claimed responsibility for Dayton City Paper at the time.
