Starting tomorrow, Western Avenue between South McKinley Avenue and Main Street will be closed to traffic, the Hamilton Police Department announced. The closure will last until the end of September 2021.

The closure is part of a construction project for the Main Street, Cereal Avenue, Haldimand Avenue and Western Avenue Intersection Project, a Facebook post stated.

Cereal Avenue, Haldimand Avenue and Armo Avenue will be opened to through traffic on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

One lane of traffic will be open in each direction on Main Street, Hamilton Police said.
