Someone attempted to enter into a home in the 700 block of Hayes Avenue between 6:45 p.m. April 7 and 6:30 p.m. April 9 by forcing open the south and east windows. The suspect or suspects were unable to open the windows and enter the house.

A 25-year-old man was hit in the face with a baseball bat in a parking lot in the 800 block of East Avenue around 1 a.m. The man was taken to Bethesda North Hospital
A woman backed her vehicle into a man in the 600 block of Sycamore Street around 6 a.m., knocking the man through a window. The man was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
Someone kicked in the back door to a home in the 0 block of Chestnut Street between 10 p.m. April 9 and 3:15 a.m. April 10 and tore the toilets and sinks from the walls, turned over the appliances and flipped all the furniture. Water was flowing from the broken pipes, which caused substantial damage to the apartment and its contents. Total estimated damage was not provided.
Someone broke the window of a vehicle in the 300 block of Wildwood Court between 9:30 p.m. April 9 and 7:15 a.m. April 10. A computer bag was stolen. Estimated damage to the window is $350.
