There will be an OVI checkpoint tonight in Hamilton along with saturation patrols in surrounding areas.

The checkpoint will start at 10 p.m. on Pleasant Avenue (U.S. 127) at Hayes Avenue, according to the Butler County OVI Task Force. Both the northbound and southbound lanes will be checked. The checkpoint is scheduled to end no later than 2 a.m.

In 2017, there were 14,481 OVI-related crashes in which 405 people were killed and 8,848 people were injured in Ohio, according to the state patrol.
