OhioMeansJobs to host Cincinnati career fair

OhioMeansJobs is hosting a career fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Scarlet Oaks Career Campus.

Employers, career counselors and workforce professionals are invited to attend an informational session starting at 9 a.m. Speakers will discuss regional workforce trends and how OhioMeansJobs.com can help employers, the agency said in a release.

More than 100 employers will be on site to meet with job seekers in the afternoon, beginning at 1 p.m., the agency said. Job seekers also can attend workshops on resume writing and interviewing and receive a professionally produced headshot to use on their LinkedIn profile.

“We invite all Cincinnati-area job seekers to take advantage of this opportunity,” Cynthia Dungey, director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, said in a release. “They can bring their resumes, network with potential employers and learn how to make their job searches more successful.

“Admission is free, and all are welcome,” Dungey added.

OhioMeansJobs.com lists more than 150,000 job openings, with half paying a salary of more than $50,000 per year, the agency said.

The Scarlet Oaks Career campus is at 300 Scarlet Oaks Drive, Cincinnati.
