Officials announce results of Butler County OVI checkpoint

An OVI checkpoint in West Chester Twp. on Friday resulted in no arrests or citations.

Pete Reising, Butler County OVI Task Force coordinator, said the checkpoint was conducted between 8:15 p.m. and midnight on Tylersville Road, near Crosley Way and Pepper Pike, just west of Butler-Warren Road.

Reising said 992 vehicles were checked in the westbound lanes and two were diverted for further investigation. However, no citations or arrests were made.

The checkpoint was conducted by officers from West Chester police, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Highway Patrol.
