New Miami speed camera case doesn’t end, after all

The parties thought the six-year New Miami speed camera case might end in the Butler County Common Pleas Court this morning, but the judge has a few more things to consider before he issues a final judgment.

Judge Michael Oster was presiding over a criminal jury trial today but took a break to listen to a final argument by New Miami’s attorneys for making the speeders sue the village’s speed camera vendor to collect the whole amount. The issue about when interest on the estimated $3 million repayment should start running must also still be settled.
