Middletown Middle School will be closed today, Nov. 10 following a power outage in the building.

The district announced on Facebook an underground cable shortage caused the building to lose power.

Unrelated to the power outage, the district had said Thursday classes would still be held despite a threat of violence against the middle school was found in a girl's bathroom stall.

Teachers were still reporting for duty at the central office today.
