Recruiters will also be on site to meet with people interested in other job openings at the university, including support staff, administrative, management and faculty positions.
“We’re primarily trying to recruit for the buildings and grounds positions, and will be scheduling interviews on-site for those,” said Leigh Swigart, human resources generalist at Miami University. “It’s your best way to get your foot in the door specifically for those types of positions.”
The university won’t be scheduling interviews for other staff positions at this time.
While the Building and Grounds Department is always hiring for temporary assistant positions, the opening of the new Armstrong Student Center means “we have a need to hire new folks,” Swigart said.
“Some other new buildings are going to be coming online” as well, she said.
