Man taken to hospital by helicopter after motorcycle crash near Hamilton school

UPDATE @ 6:02 p.m. 

A male struck by a car while riding his motorcycle was taken by Hamilton Fire Department life squad to Fort Hamilton Hospital to meet a medical helicopter, emergency dispatchers told this news outlet.

There’s no word yet on how the crash occurred or to which hospital the unidentified man was taken.

The crash, which was called in at 4:49 p.m., remains under investigation, dispatchers said.

UPDATE @ 5:15 p.m.

A person injured in a crash involving a motorcycle has been removed from the scene to be taken to meet a medical helicopter.

The motorcycle is still on the scene at the intersection of Northwest Washington Boulevard and West Elkton Road.

INITIAL REPORT, 5:08 p.m.

Crews are responding to the Hamilton Freshman School on a report of a crash involving a motorcycle and have called for a medical helicopter, according to emergency dispatch traffic.

The call was dispatched at about 4:55 p.m. today.
