“The Village Green Fine Art Fair is considered a premier event in Fairfield. All the vendors that participate create their own pieces that they’re selling, so you aren’t going to find brands being sold. You won’t find them in stores. These are all unique, one-of-a-kind, wonderful things that are being showcased,” said David Sheldrick, marketing specialist for Fairfield Parks & Recreation.
Presented by Fairfield Parks and Recreation, the event showcases an array of original, creative work. Juried artists and artisans will exhibit their original two-dimensional art, photography, paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, clothing, ceramics, wood, metal, vintage linens, and glass pieces. The artists will have their work on display and it will also be available for purchase.
Participating vendors include Sunryse Pottery, Osuna Artistry, Loveworn, Sara’s Signs by Design, Unique Beaded Interiors, Discriminary Pallet, Big City Skylines, RH Wooden Puzzles and many more.
As far as other event highlights, live blues/jazz music will be provided by the Bob Ross Quartet. To make it a fun, family-friendly event, there will be activies available for children. Food and beverages will be available. Featured vendors will include U-Lucky Dawg food truck, Katie’s Classic Cookies, Wandering Coffee Company and Kona Ice.
“It’s more of an art festival, compared to a fair, it’s a great chance to come out, enjoy a couple of hours, see some amazing pieces and have a wonderful time with the whole family,” Sheldrick said.
More than 20 artists are expected to participate. Awards will be handed out in fine art and fine craft categories, including Best Booth and People’s Choice.
“Village Green is a beautiful area right here in the heart of Fairfield, and the Community Arts Center is a wonderful place to visit. If it’s a hot day, you can come in and get into the air-conditioning. It’s a nice campus,” Sheldrick said.
