The entire Miami Valley dropped below zero Wednesday morning. To make matters worse, the wind was howling as well.

Sustained winds picked up quickly through the early morning hours with wind gusts over 40 mph reported in some cities.

The wind chill or “feels like” temperature factors in how cold and windy it is calculating a value based on our body’s rate of heat loss.
