WATCH: Butler County hospital sees ‘tremendous outpouring’ of support from police, fire

Police, fire and EMS departments throughout Butler County on Tuesday saluted health care workers who are on the front lines in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Numerous police cruisers and fire engines from different departments drove around Fort Hamilton Hospital with a Hospital Staff Appreciation Display. There will be another similar event at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.

First responders set up in designated locations in their vehicles with lights and sirens on to thank those battling COVID-19.

“We are so grateful for the tremendous outpouring of support from police, fire and EMS,” said Ron Connovich, president of Fort Hamilton Hospital. “They are on the front lines as well, and we appreciate all they do to keep our community safe.”

Other police and fire departments showed the same support outside Kettering Health Network Middletown, 6147 Ohio 122 and Atrium Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive.

On Thursday, another event will be at Franklin Emergency Center, 100 Kettering Way, Franklin.
