“The Springboro Schools' administrative staff is looking to proactively take steps at countering potential threats, in order to ensure improved security measures across our district,” the memo read.
The changes are as follows:
- Elimination of lunchroom visitors for grades 1-12 in all school buildings, effective March 12.
- Effective immediately, an additional Springboro police officer will be assigned to the junior and high schools.
- Springboro schools instituting a third party social media monitoring program to help better protect the community by alerting the schools to threats shared publically on social media.
The changes come after the district’s crisis teams met to discuss security and safety at the district. The district will continue to meet to discuss future changes as well, the memo said.
