Power outages affect businesses at Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Twp.

Power has been restored to the eastern side of Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Twp. after hours without electricity.

Several businesses were among the nearly 400 Duke Energy customers without power since it was first reported just after 10 a.m. The outages followed a response by fire crews for a report of smoke into PetSmart at the mall.

“We found a faulty piece of equipment on a pole that is feeding the mall,” Duke spokesperson Sally Thelen said.

Mall businesses impacted included Michael's, Chick-Fil-A, JC Penny, Bed Bath and Beyond, Gap, TJ Maxx, Best Buy, Pets Smart, Justice, Lane Bryant, and Buffalo Wild Wing.

Power was restored just before 3 p.m. Friday.
