According to the preliminary investigation, the car was turning east onto West Third from North Plaza Avenue about 6:15 p.m. when it collided with another car. That first collision sent the second car into the bus, the lieutenant said. The bus driver and occupant were not injured.
The two people arrested as well as a male and female from the second car suffered non-life-threatening injuries, he said. They were taken to hospitals.
Bauer said he could not comment about a report the incident may have involved a drug deal gone bad.
UPDATE @ 7:03 p.m.:
As many as six people have been taken to hospitals from a multiple-vehicle crash on West Third Street in Dayton that we’re hearing may have involved a drug deal gone bad.

Dayton fire officials tell us an RTA bus was hit by one of at least two cars involved in the accident. It’s unclear whether any of the victims are from the bus.
We’re still working to speak with Dayton police for details about the reported drug deal part of the incident.
The accident scene is about to be cleared so normal traffic can resume on West Third Street at North and South Plaza avenues.
INITIAL REPORT
Police are investigating an apparent vehicle accident on West Third Street in Dayton and have taken at least one male into custody.
There is crime scene tape to mark off the accident scene at West Third as well as North and South Plaza Avenues.
The accident was reported sometime between 6:30 and 6:45 p.m.
The air bags in one of the cars involved have been deployed. An RTA bus has been stopped and we're working to learn whether the bus was involved in the incident.
