A 53-year-old Martinsville man was killed Friday evening in a fiery single-vehicle crash.
Joseph Ramsey was traveling east on state Route 73 near Airborne Road when his 2007 Jeep crossed the median, drove off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree, which caused the Jeep to catch fire, according to the Wilmington Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Ramsey was the only occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in the crash that remains under investigation, the patrol said.
