UPDATE 8/6/18 @ 3:35 a.m: Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection to the shooting death of a woman found on Saturday night in Warren County, according to a release.

Christopher Timmons, 35, is charged with reckless homicide in the death of 32-year-old Darlene Yocum, according to our partners at WCPO.

Officers were first dispatched to a home on Stephens Road in Maineville about 10:25 p.m. for a woman not breathing. Their investigation revealed that Timmons shot Yocum inside their residence and fled the scene in a truck, the release stated.

The truck was located a short time later in Deerfield Township, where Timmons was taken into custody.

Yocum was transported to Bethesda North Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Timmons is being held at the Warren County Jail.

INITIAL REPORT

A woman was shot Saturday night on Stephens Road in Warren County.

Crews were dispatched around 10:25 p.m. on reports of a person not breathing near Hargus Drive, according to our partners at WCPO in Cincinnati. When crews arrived, they found the woman was taken away in a vehicle from that location and found in Deerfield Twp.

The woman, whose name hasn’t been released, was taken to Bethesda North Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to WCPO.

According to initial scanner reports, a male suspect was armed and dangerous, and later apprehended.
