Mostly sunny, hot today with a chance of showers, storms

Today it will be mostly sunny and hot, with temperatures rising to near 87 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. In the afternoon, there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms, which will last into the evening.

As we go into the night, though, that chance will dwindle as temperatures fall to around 68 degrees under mostly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow, the forecast is similar, with partly sunny skies, high temperatures near 82 degrees and a chance for showers to arrive in the afternoon. The chance for showers continues into the evening, tapering off overnight as temperatures fall to around 66 degrees. Skies will be mostly cloudy overnight.

Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high near 83 degrees, but will have the potential to be wetter than the previous two days. According to the NWS, rain chances will gradually increase during the day, starting as a chance of showers in the morning, with the chance for storms joining in around 11 a.m. In the evening, showers become likely, with possible storms.

Thursday night, we will continue to see showers with a chance for thunderstorms through into Friday.
