4 Kettering Health construction projects underway

Kettering Health Network broke ground in Hamilton on a new outpatient center, adding to a series of construction projects the health system has underway in the region.

Here are four projects that are in progress:

1. $6 million Hamilton health center

The 16,000-square-foot Hamilton Health Center on Main will have outpatient services including physician practices and imaging and lab services. The 1391 W. Main St. location should open spring 2019.

2. $25 million Dayton ER expansion

Kettering Health kicked off an expansion of the emergency department at Grandview Medical Center in February. The hospital leaders said that since nearby Good Samaritan Hospital is closing, there will soon be increased demand at its ER.

3. $60 milllion Troy hospital

The 100,000-square-foot hospital is on track to open in 2019 at the gateway to Troy's downtown. The new hospital along the 600 block of West Main Street will employ about 120 and have inpatient beds, an emergency department, lab and imaging, surgery center and a medical office building for physician practices.

4. $30 million Middletown medical center

The 67,000-square-foot medical center will have an emergency department, outpatient lab and imaging services and medical office building for physician practices. It is under construction along Ohio 122 just southeast of Interstate 75.
