New food truck on the streets offering ‘a taste of the world, one bite at a time’

‘World Piece,’ based in Springboro, will offer ‘a taste of the world, one bite at a time’

A new Springboro-based food truck that promises to offer “a taste of the world, one bite at a time” has hit the streets this week and has already scheduled 50 appearances throughout southwest Ohio.

World Piece is the brainchild of John Hanson, who called the venture “a family affair.”

“Our entire family has worked in the food/restaurant industry at some point in time, and some have attended culinary school as well,” Hanson told this news outlet. “Most recently we have catered the Boro Artfest, and for the past six years have done all of the cooking/food preparation for Oktoberfest Springboro.”

“It is our desire to share our passion for great food from around the world with people who are passionate about good food. “

“We had hoped to hit the streets earlier this summer, but there have been several delays from the construction of the truck to getting it wrapped,” Hanson said. “The demand for food trucks has never been greater, (and) we have scheduled 50 events already between August and December, and we are still scheduling as we speak.”

Hanson said World Piece's concept “will be to offer a variety of gourmet dishes from around the world, bringing a taste of the world one bite at a time to its followers.”

World Piece’s menu “will change from time to time and from event to event,” and will be available on the food truck’s Facebook page, Hanson said. The full menu includes items such as street tacos, half-pound burgers in a variety of styles, German sausage sandwiches, salads, wraps, and specialty eggrolls, among other items.
