“All I did was leave corporate,” she said. “The same people work here. We have the same homemade wings, sauces, blue cheese, soups and chili. The only thing that’s different is we took the ‘Buffalo’ off the name.”
The restaurant always has been a family-run business, even before Snider took it over 11 years ago.
Daughters Megan Snider and Erin Kuhlman work as servers, while daughter Robin Szary, a Hamilton City Schools teacher, often stops by to help out.
“It’s a team effort by all standards, that’s for sure,” Kim Snider said.
Unlike many restaurants where chicken is not the primary focus, none of the chicken at Wings on Brookwood is frozen, she said.
“Our boneless, our tenders, our chicken wings, everything is fresh,” Snider said. “When I say we’re ‘Wings on Brookwood,’ we are known for our wings.”
Other popular items include a vast selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, sandwiches and fries.
Guests may customize their order with the new “Create Your Own Appetizer Platter” for $8.99 or a “Create your own Specialty Burger” option for $7.99.
Specials include a Monday “Kids Eat Free” discount, plus 49-cent specials on Tuesday for wings, Wednesdays for boneless and Thursdays for grilled or breaded tenders.
The restaurant also helps area churches, schools and organizations by hosting “Dine to Donate” events, then donating 10 percent of all sales for the evening to the group.
“It’s our way of saying thank you to everybody who comes and support us,” Snider said. “It’s our way to give back.”
