INDEPENDENCE DAY: Mostly dry and dangerously hot conditions are in the forecast. Excessive Heat Warnings will go into effect across the southern Miami Valley and a Heat Advisory for all beginning at noon and lasting through 7 p.m. There is only a slight chance for a pop-up shower or storm late in the day. High temperatures will be in the mid-90s with a heat index topping anywhere from 95 to 105 degrees.

THURSDAY: Skies will be partly cloudy with scattered storms developing in the afternoon. It will remain hot and muggy with highs staying in the lower 90s.

FRIDAY: Expect a good chance for showers and storms early with clearing skies in the afternoon. Temperatures will cool and the humidity will begin to drop by late in the day. Highs will be in the lower 80s.
