Easter egg events abound

Easter may be on Sunday, but today is the day kids throughout Butler County will be hunting for eggs and other goodies.

These Easter egg events will take place today:

There will be an Easter Parade today that begins at the northeast corner of the parking lot at Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and High Street in Hamilton. The parade will then go down High Street to the RiversEdge Amphitheater. Participants will assemble at 11 a.m. The parade starts at noon.

• Christ United Methodist Church will hold their 4th annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at Smith Park, Middletown. Event starts at noon with games and free refreshments. Egg hunt begins at 1 p.m., for children through 6th grade. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance.

• Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast will be held at Spring Hill Church of Christ, 2021 Brell Drive, Middletown. Pancakes at 10 a.m. Egg hunt at 11 a.m. For children pre-K through 5th grade.

• The Monroe Lions Club will hold their Annual Easter Egg Hunt 1 p.m. at Monroe Community Park, South Main St.

• An Easter Egg Hunt will be held 10 a.m. to noon indoors at the YMCA, 6703 Yankee Road, Liberty Twp. due to inclement weather. Children ages 1-8 years of age are invited to take part. Ages 1-2 at 10 a.m. Ages 3-4 at 10:30 a.m. Ages 5-6 at 11 a.m. Ages 7-8 at 11:30 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos from 10 a.m. to noon. Bring a camera and a basket for collecting eggs.

• West Chester Fire Dept. Association annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held 1 p.m. at the Keehner Park tennis court area, 7411 Barret Road, West Chester Twp. All children through age 8 are welcome to participate. Bring along a bag or basket to gather eggs.

• CityGate Church will hold Easter Eggstavaganza 1 to 3 p.m. at Lakota West Freshman School, 5050 Tylersville Road, West Chester Twp. There will be face painting, inflatables, carnival rides and more. Day ends with an Easter egg hunt.

• West Chester Church of the Nazarene will hold an Eggstravaganza, noon to 3 p.m. at 7951 Tylersville Road, West Chester Twp. Free community event with an egg hunt, games, and refreshments.

• An Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mark’s UMC, 4601 Fairfield Ave., Fairfield. There will be a free lunch, visit with the Easter Bunny, family oriented activities, Easter Egg Hunt, and an Easter craft.

• The Trenton Community Park Spring Celebration will be held. Easter egg hunt begins at 10 a.m at the community park. Parade begins at noon. See the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales.

• The Animal Adoption Foundation (AAF) will hold their Easter Egg Hunt for Hounds at 2480 Ross Millville Road, Hamilton. Registration starts at 12:30 p.m. Each entry is $5 and entitles the dog to five eggs. Several gold eggs will also be hidden. There will also be a bake sale and raffle to add to the fun of watching the dogs.
