Buffalo Wings & Rings to open near Kings Island

A new Buffalo Wings & Rings restaurant is scheduled to open this fall in Deerfield Twp. near Kings Island, and its franchise owners are planning several more locations in southwest and central Ohio.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held May 11 for the 6,000-square-foot restaurant coming to 5517 Kings Center Drive. The restaurant will seat more than 200 and will employ about 70, according to franchise co-owner Todd Fetter.

This will be the second Buffalo Wings & Rings for franchisee Fetter and his wife Audra of Waynefield near Lima, who operate a Piqua location that opened in 2013. John Gerbus of Miami Twp. in Clermont County is co-franchise owner of the planned Mason restaurant, which Fetter predicted would be “a high-volume location” for Cincinnati-based Buffalo Wings and Rings.

“John and I plan on opening many more locations in this general region including Cincy, Dayton, Columbus, and those surrounding areas,” Fetter said. “We are committed to this brand and we definitely feel that the ownership and support staff of Buffalo Wings and Rings is committed to us as well.”

The Deerfield Twp. restaurant will be a new prototype design for the restaurant chain, designed “to provide an elevated approach to the traditional sports bar experience and to make it more fun and accessible for the whole family,” a spokeswoman for Buffalo Wings & Rings said.

Buffalo Wings & Rings was founded in 1984 and operates 45 restaurants in the U.S., including locations in Centerville, Monroe and Fairfield, according to the company’s website. The restaurants’ menu includes wings, burgers, gyros, wraps, salads, sandwiches and quesadillas.
