INITIAL REPORT: Police K-9 catches alleged criminal in creek after officer injured
Earlier this month, Kincaid was captured by Middletown police officer Ryan Morgan and his canine in a Madison Twp. creek after a pursuit that began in Middletown following a traffic stop, according to a Middletown police report.
Morgan said he tackled Kincaid in the creek, but he continued to resist, “throwing his elbows” and “striking” the officer in the torso, according to the report. Canine Chase then engaged Kincaid, biting him in his left hip. Morgan said he was unable to get Kincaid into handcuffs because his thumb was dislocated. Chase held onto Kincaid until more Middletown police officers arrived.
Kincaid was searched and officers found a small baggie of methamphetamine and marijuana, according to the report.
