Tour of historic Warren County homes scheduled

Harmon Museum is hosting a series of events aimed at helping people to learn about living with an historic building.

“Notable Architecture of Warren County,” a bus tour of some of Warren County’s most interesting old houses, is set for March 23. Museum Art Curator Michael Coyan is leading this survey of 19th and early 20th century building design. The tour departs from the museum at 10 a.m. for a 90-minute drive through Lebanon, Harveysburg, Waynesville, Springboro and Turtlecreek Twp. Seating is limited to 50 persons. Cost is $25 per person.

The Harmon Museum in conjunction with the Lebanon Conservancy Foundation is to present “Building Doctors,” a program of the Ohio History Connection, April 11-12 in Lebanon at the Nixon Brant House. Teams will teach old-building owners how to recognize and solve maintenance problems and make decisions about repairs and improvement.

The program begins on April 11, with a 7 p.m. meeting at the Nixon Brant house, 27 N. Mechanic St. in Lebanon.
