Fairfield taxpayers will receive automatic local tax extension

The city of Fairfield is granting an automatic 90-day extension for taxpayers to file their 2019 city taxes, but if taxpayers need more time they’ll have to file a form.

The city's announcement comes a few days after the IRS announced it's automatically extending the federal tax-filing deadline, also by 90 days to July 15.

However, if people need more time to file beyond July 15, they’ll need to file an extension to file municipal taxes.

Residents can fill out the form online, then print it. Forms can then be  returned by email to income.tax@fairfield-city.org or mailed to the office at 701 Wessel Drive, Fairfield, Ohio 45014.

A direct link to the form is located here, and is on the city's website, Fairfield-City.org.
