King, who moved to the area seven years ago from Detroit, said she chose to open a restaurant in Middletown because she’s developed “a love and a passion” for everything about the city.
“I have nine grandbabies down here and I just think something new like this for Middletown, bringing something Southern (here), would bring the love back to Middletown where people can just go and get some good meals.”
Mz. Jade’s Soul Food will start with a staff of approximately five people, King said. To apply for a job, email email@example.com
