Deerfield Twp. bridge to close for nine months

The Warren County Engineer’s Office announced that starting March 14, Socialville-Fosters Road will be closed at the bridge over Interstate 71 for nine months, weather permitting.

The detour for the closure will utilize Mason-Montgomery Road to Western Row Road to Columbia Road.

The $6.43 million project will include replacing the bridge over I-71 with a wider five-lane bridge as well as widening the road between Innovation Way and Columbia Road. The project is one of several planned for the southwest Warren County area around the Western Row Road and Kings Island areas.

Some of the projects are undergoing pre-construction work, such as moving power lines on Socialville-Fosters Road, where a $6.43 million project will begin to widen the road between Innovation Drive and Columbia Road as well as replace the bridge over Interstate 71 with a wider five-lane bridge, according to the engineer’s office.

This project is expected to be completed by year’s end.
