Road reopened in Ross Twp. after woman killed in crash

UPDATE @ 1:50 p.m.:

A woman was killed this morning when her vehicle was struck head-on along Ross-Millville Road, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened at about 9:30 in the 13o0 block near the Ross Twp. fire department.

Butler County Sheriff’s Sgt. Ed Tanner said the driver of a yellow Ford Mustang sideswiped a car, then hit a black Ford Mustang head-on.

The driver of the black Ford Mustang was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the yellow Ford Mustang was transported to an area hospital.

The occupants of the sideswiped car, a Chevy Impala, were not injured, according to Tanner.

Identification of those involved has not yet been released.

The road reopened at about 12:50 p.m.

UPDATE @ 12:30 p.m.:

A fatal crash on Ross-Millville Road this morning involved two Ford Mustangs, one black and one yellow, according to witnesses at the scene.

There were reports that the driver of the yellow car was driving erratically before the crash that happened at about 9:30 a.m.

The road remains closed this afternoon.

INITIAL REPORT:

One person has died following a crash this morning in Ross Twp., according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency units were dispatched about 9:30 a.m. to the 1300 block of Ross-Millville Road for a two-vehicle crash.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to deputies.

The road remains closed for investigation by the Butler County Sheriff’s Serious Accident Reconstruction Team.
