Police and emergency units responded to an intersection in the Lindenwald neighborhood in Hamilton about 1:15 p.m. for a shooting.
Hamilton police said at least one person was shot in the incident near the intersection of Pleasant and Fairview avenues. One person was transported to the hospital with a gun shot wound. Police have blocked off Fairview Avenue for several blocks.
A Volkswagen sedan could be seen with bullet holes outside a barbershop on Fairview Avenue.
Police have been told to look for a black BMW with four black males inside in connection with the shooting, according to scanner traffic.
