Lebanon man gets life in prison for child sex abuse, use in porn

A Lebanon man was sentenced to life in prison Thursday for sexually abusing two young girls at his home.

Warren County Common Pleas Judge Robert W. Peeler sentenced Jimmy Smith, 35, of Lebanon, for rape of a child younger than 13, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and gross sexual imposition.

The two victims were 4 and 8 years old.

Smith’s first eligibility for parole will be in 25 years, according to a press release issued by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

From January through March 2019, Smith sexually abused the girls, according to the release.

“During the abuse, Smith would pose the girls and take naked pictures of them. On March 11, 2019, Smith sent a naked picture of one of the girls to an undercover detective in the state of Texas,” according to the release.

The Texas detective contacted Lebanon police, and the case was filed.

“This case is an example of the collaborative effort from law enforcement agencies across the country to investigate child exploitation, and to bring these abusers to justice. We’re grateful that Judge Peeler saw this horrific conduct for what it was, and imposed a very lengthy prison sentence against Smith,” said Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said in the release.

Smith was also designated a Tier III sex offender.
