Fairfield ‘Peeping Tom’ breaks into apartment

Fairfield police are searching for a suspect who has not only peeked into windows at an apartment complex, but also broke into one of the apartments.

Fairfield police Chief Mike Dickey said two instances occurred overnight May 10 when a suspect was peeking into windows at the Camelot East Apartments on Sherwood Drive.

In the second of the two incidents, the suspect had entered the apartment after removing a screen, and he was seen by the resident fondling himself inside the room, Dickey said.

A third incident took place May 12 in which the suspect was seen looking into a window. Each of the incidents took place at different apartments, according to Dickey.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion with a thin build and a bald or shaved head. Dickey urged apartment residents to make sure their windows and doors are locked, and to keep the windows covered.
