It will be cloudy and cold today ahead of a sunnier, though not much warmer weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Today, under cloudy skies temperatures will rise to around 33 degrees with some light wind, before falling to around 24 degrees overnight.

Clouds will start to break during the day today, with skies continuing to clear overnight.

Saturday morning, skies will only be partly cloudy, and will continue to clear as the day goes on. Temperatures will be slightly warmer, with a high around 37 degrees.

During the night clouds will start to build up again somewhat as temperatures drop to around 23 degrees, though skies will still be largely sunny on Sunday morning.

The NWS predicted clouds will stay around the same level throughout Sunday, with temperatures rising to around 39 degrees, then falling to around 23 degrees overnight.
