Four children, including one who is disabled, were living in the house, according to police. The children ages 6-10, were placed with county Children Services.
“We really wanted to get them checked out to make sure there wasn’t any long-term exposure to chemicals,” Hackney said.
Kenneth Raybourne Jr., 28, is charged with felony child endangering, possession of drugs, illegal manufacture of drugs, and illegal assembly or possession of drugs for the manufacture of drugs.
Destiny Raybourne, 23, is charged with felony child endangering.
The Raybournes were arraigned Thursday in Middletown Municipal Court were a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Tuesday.
Bond was set for Kenneth was set at $200,000. He has a previous drug abuse charge from March that is still pending. Destiny’s bond was set at $75,000
Additional charges are possible when the case is presented to grand jury, according to Hackney.
