Butler County sheriff to President Trump: ‘Please build the wall!!’

A day after President Donald Trump touted his progress on building a wall along the U.S. border with Mexico, Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones sent a letter of support to the president.

Jones posted a picture of his brief letter to the president on Twitter:

“I’m sending you this correspondence in support of building the wall between Mexico and the United States. Please build the wall!! Don’t listen to the detractors that say that it is not necessary. I have been battling building the wall for several years. You are on the right track.”

In Richfield, Ohio, Trump told a group of union workers there had been a lot of progress made on the promised wall, saying there is $1.6 billion budgeted toward the project that’s been designed, and construction has started.

"… (Y)ou saw the pictures … what a thing of beauty," Trump said, adding that he tweeted on Wednesday photos of a wall being constructed along the country's southern border with Mexico.

He added, “We’re getting that sucker built.”
