Pioneer Cladding is considering a relocation to Mason.
Most of the projects are proposed at this point, and the incentives are contingent on the companies making investments and adding new workers.
Contingent Network Services is an information technology company considering an expansion of its headquarters at 4400 Port Union Road, according to state development records. The company’s proposal is to construct a new building, also according to state officials.
Contingent Network was approved by the state board for a 45 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit, an income tax abatement on new payroll creation. In turn, if Contingent expands its West Chester Twp. headquarters, it expects to create 75 full-time equivalent jobs within three years generating $3.4 million in additional annual payroll. The company would be committed to also retain $7.8 million in existing payroll at the project location, according to state officials in announcing the tax credit awards.
The tech company currently has 120 employees, according to the township’s latest estimates, said West Chester Twp. spokeswoman Barb Wilson.
Also approved for tax credits Monday is a proposed project by Pioneer Cladding and Glazing Systems LLC to relocate from Loveland to Mason in bigger, renovated facilities, according to state records and local government officials.
Pioneer Cladding has outgrown its location in Loveland, said Michele Blair, Mason economic development director. The company, in the commercial construction industry, is looking to relocate back to Mason, and buy and renovate an existing empty building at 4074 Bethany Road near the Interstate 71 corridor, Blair said.
The state tax credit authority approved Pioneer for a 45 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit.
Pioneer Cladding, which specializes in the design and manufacture of unitized curtain walls, expects to create 50 full-time equivalent jobs within three years if it moves forward with the project. Estimates are the project could generate $3,255,200 in additional annual payroll and retain $3,691,095 in existing payroll, according to the state tax credit announcement.
“I think this move will position them to double the size of their operation within the next three to five years,” Blair said. She estimates Pioneer currently has more than 60 employees.
Company officials with Contingent and Pioneer could not be reached immediately for comment Monday.
