Best Buy, Macy’s expanding same-day delivery

Two retail giants will soon begin offering same-day delivery.

Best Buy and Macy’s announced this week they will expand same-day delivery options this fall. Best Buy will add 14 cities with same-day delivery while Macy’s will add another 15 cities.

Best Buy already offers the service in 13 cities and will add the 14 other cities next week, according to a statement form the company. Macy’s started offering the service in 2014 in 15 locations and will add the second 15 places at an unspecified time this fall, according to the company.

For the expansion, both stores are partnering with Deliv, a logistics business company powers scheduled same-day delivery and return options for more than 4,000 businesses, including 25 of the nation’s top retailers, according to press releases. Deliv services are currently offered in more than 1,400 cities.

In Ohio, Best Buy and Macy’s will begin offering same-day delivery in both Cincinnati and Columbus. Dayton is not included at this time.

Best Buy has locations at Fairfield Commons mall and off Centre Drive in Beavercreek, at the Dayton Mall, on Bechtle Avenue in Springfield and on Princeton Road in Hamilton. Macy’s has stores at the Fairfield Commons mall, on Miamisburg-Centerville Road in Dayton and six locations in the greater Cincinnati area.
