A Dayton-area couple’s search for an island home will be showcased on an upcoming episode of a popular HGTV show.
As we first reported on Aug. 30, Chris and Tina Gibbs will be featured on "Island Life."
The episode featuring the the Gibbs was filmed at Indian Lake and is set to air at 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, on the cable network.
“With their six kids almost grown up, a Dayton couple is hoping to find a large lake house to bring the whole family together. Not only do they need a large number of bedrooms and baths, they also need yard space for the ninth member of the family, their rescue dog Charlie. They also want space for their boat and two jet skis, plus views of the open water.”
The episode is one of four Huntsville-based realtor Paige Duff taped for the popular reality show in the Miami Valley lake resort town.
Two of those episodes aired in fall of 2017.
The fourth episode is set to premiere Sunday, Feb. 17 and features a couple from Powell near Columbus.
“I am so excited that HGTV wanted to see more of Indian Lake,” Duff said by phone Thursday, Jan. 24. “Everyone is thrilled we are put in the national spotlight.”
The Choice Properties Real Estate agent will host a watch party for the Feb. 10 episode at Mimi's at the Lake, 156 E. Main St. in Russells Point, beginning at 9 p.m.

“I am elated that HGTV wants to see more of Indian Lake. This is such a beautiful and unique area,” said Duff, who works at Choice Properties Real Estate. “I'm honored to show it off on a national level.”
Paige and the Logan County summer resort town about 75 miles north of Dayton were also featured on two episodes of the show last November and December.
For the upcoming two shows, Paige says she showed $500,000 to $600,000 island homes and homes ranging from $400,000 to $500,000 to Dayton-area residents Chris and Tina Gibbs and Mike and Terrye Rabelais of Powell near Columbus.
A message was left seeking comment from Tina Gibbs.
An email was sent to HGTV representatives seeking information about when the episodes will be aired.
Duff said that many people don’t know that island living is possible in Ohio.
Indian Lake has dozens of islands.
“I just want to show people that you can have a vacation home and it can be affordable and you can have island living.”
There is a wide range of price points available, Duff, 33, said, noting that mobiles start at about $30,000.
“You can have a whole island for a million dollars,” he said. “It kind of depends on how nice you want to go.”
Duff said she got a lot of attention following her first appearances on the show and was even recognized while vacationing in Florida.
She says it was fun to see how the show was produced, noting that it took four days each to record the two 21-minute episodes.
