More than a hashtag, “Dayton Strong” has proven to be words that represent the passion of the Gem City.

Following the mass shooting in the Oregon District that killed nine people on Sunday, Aug. 4, businesses, restaurants, individuals and organizations have found numerous ways to come together and support those impacted by the tragic event and the community as a whole.

The shooting came on the heels of destruction from 15 tornadoes on Memorial Day. One person was killed by the storm and dozens more were injured. Homes were damaged and destroyed, and many were displaced. Rebuilding will be a lengthy process.

A group of organizations and businesses have "united" to make an impact. Ten High Productions, Venus Child Productions, Sound Valley, The Oregon District, Yellow Cab Tavern, partner organization Downtown Dayton, and countless others will present "Dayton United."
