Bernard a full participant, Newman, Gilberry limited

Running back Giovani Bernard was a full participant at practice Thursday for the first time since suffering hip and clavicle injuries Oct. 26 against Baltimore.

Right guard Kevin Zeitler (calf) returned to full participation at Thursday’s practice, and right tackle Andre Smith was a full participant for the second day in a row.

Defensive end Wallace Gilberry (back) and cornerback Terence Newman (knee) were limited after missing Wednesday’s practice, while running back Cedric Peerman (hip) was limited for the second day in a row.

Linebacker Vontaze Burfict (knee) and defensive end Margus Hunt (ankle) did not practice and are not expected to play, while offensive lineman Mike Pollak and left tackle Andrew Whitworth took standard veteran days off.
