Showers, storms arrive overnight with small hail possible, NWS says

After unseasonably high temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s across the region, showers and thunderstorms will arrive overnight into the morning with small hail possible.

The high for today reached 68 degrees in Dayton, 71 in Cincinnati and 67 in Columbus, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Clouds will increase tonight, which will have an overnight low around 54 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly after 3 a.m.

There is a chance of showers and storms before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Tuesday will be cloudy with a high near 68 degrees. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely Tuesday evening into Tuesday night. It will be breezy with gusts as high as 38 mph. The overnight low will be around 55 degrees.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday before 2 p.m. followed by a chance of showers. It will be breezy with gusts as high as 37 mph. It also will be cooler but still above normal with a high near 58 degrees.

Wednesday night will be mostly clear but breezy and much colder with a low around 22 degrees.

It will be dry and sunny Thursday with a high near 42 degrees. Thursday night will be partly cloudy with an overnight low around 29 degrees.

Friday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 48 degrees. There is a chance of rain after 1 p.m. Friday night will be mostly cloudy with an overnight low around 41 degrees.

The weekend will be sunny with highs in the 60s.
