Approaching front brings threat for more storms

The chance for showers and a few storms returns after 3 a.m., Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said. Temperatures will fall back into the middle to upper 60s by morning.

DETAILED FORECAST 

Friday:  Scattered showers and storms will be around until late afternoon. A strong storm is possible, mainly south and east. Cooler air will push in behind a cold front late in the day. High temperatures will be in the middle 70s.

Saturday: Expect lots of sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the upper 70s to start the weekend.

Sunday: Some sun will start the day but clouds will be on the increase through late afternoon. A shower or storm will be possible late in the day toward evening. Highs will be in the upper 70s.

Monday: On and off showers and storms are expected with highs in the middle to upper 70s.

Tuesday:  Partly cloudy skies return with temperatures mild but below average, staying in the upper 70s.
